Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. As a child, she went to at the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma's dream was to become an actor. At the age of 6, she enrolled in the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch in which she was taught classes in acting, singing and dance. At the age of ten the actress took part in and played the leading role in numerous Stagecoach Productions and School Plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel began casting in 1999. Emma was identified by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theatre teacher. After eight auditions consistently, director David Heyman told Emma and other applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast as the three leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's debut on screen came with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's release in the year 2001. The most successful film of 2001 The film broke records for its debut day opening and opening weekend takings. Critics were impressed with the performance of the film as well as its story. The Daily Telegraph, a popular British paper, praised her for her performance. In the following days, Emma was shortlisted for five awards for her role in the film and was awarded an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in a feature Film.
